Tarot of the Crab

2 of Cups: Lord of Love (Venus in Crabba; Chokmah in Briah: influence of Chokmah in the Mental World) Leuviah  and Pahaliah. Waters of Life; Luminous Water. Cetaceans. A card of Emotional Intelligence. Sun and Moon work together to bring Light into the world: Romance, Harmony. Pure Waters of Heaven gush forth from the Nouri of the Crown Chakra filling the lower vessels: upper and lower worlds fulfilled; a joyous and loving partnership.

3 of Cups: Lord of Abundance (Mercury in Crabba; Binah in Briah: influence of Binah in the Mental World) Nelekael and Jeiaiel. Cardinal Water under the governorship of the Moon. Saturn (Binah) sometimes substitutes for the Moon on the Holy Heptagram: rushing waters from the Ocean of Consciousness and the Fruit of Persephone (and Demeter: Da Mater). Three Dancing Graces: hospitality, abundance and plenitude.

4 of Cups: Lord of Blended Pleasure (Moon in Crabba, Chesed in Briah: influence of the subconscious in the Mental Realm) Melahel and Hahuiah. Blended pleasure and success. Good things come to those who wait. The Spirit will bring to Completion. Wuwei, the Tao; Art of Not Doing. Magnetize via the Spirit and draw to you whatever is Desired.

Briah is the Creative World.

Chariot: the Arcana for Crabba is the Chariot (Chet: Speech), a single letter, representing Cardinal Water. The Golden Dawn attributes of the Major Arcana are sometimes subject to change and Chet is a good example. Chet is a Formative Intelligence (not the Emperor) and the color is Purple, not Vermillion. Does the Fiery Masculine Commander with Orange-Red color harmoniously represent Cardinal Water with its Waveform Intelligence? The Symbol should be Consonant with the Sign it represents for the System to be truly Synthetic. This potential misrepresentation is likely based upon modern cultural biases that threw the traditional Tantric Vaishnavism under the bus.

The eighteenth Path is called the House of Influence (abundant influx of Good upon Creation is increased). The Hidden and Arcane is Brought Forth from the Cause of All Causes. Representing an Initiation to the Supreme Spiritual Self it is a Bridge  across the Abyss; the 3rd Initiation which encompasses the crossing of all Paths and the 4 Rivers of Paradise: the Garden of Eden (Chariot- Water, Lovers-Air, Gemini; Emperor-Fire, Aries; and Hierophant-Earth, Taurus); a Completion on All Planes. This card, The Chariot represents the Vision of Ezekiel: the four living creatures each with four faces; the wheels turning within wheels and the glowing throne with its radiant figure above all, implying that the Chariot represents the 4 Elements and their Elemental Kingdoms.

The Chariot is a Merkabah, and represents the station of the Deep Inner Self, able to traverse all planes but itself is stationary and at rest (card #7). The meaning of the Two Sphinxes (one white, one black and joined at the haunches) is that of Psychodynamic Integration. The Hebrew letter Chet means ‘an enclosure’ and refers to the Walled Garden of Paradise. The Chariot is therefore Protective of its Inner Kshetram of Enlightenment. The New Jerusalem (or the Celestial City) is depicted in the background and a River flows from the High Priestess to the Temple of Paradise.
