Perseus Saves Andromeda

Those women who have been blessed with extraordinary beauty will recognize at once the remarkable propensity of this strange gift to draw them into the forces of raging chaos. Andromeda was such a woman, her troubles additionally catalyzed by her privileged status. Her strange gift also drew upon her the attentions of Perseus (the Pursuer); who was ambition personified.

Smart and experienced, Perseus had just appeared on the scene, fresh from a situation with a previous woman: the Gorgon, Medusa. Medusa’s extraordinary beauty (back in the day, when she was pure and lovely) had drawn her into troubles as well, affecting her psyche to the extent that she became hideous to look upon. When Perseus (Ambition) reflected back to her just what she had become, she was mortified. The Perseus and Andromeda story has everything Archetypal Mythopoeia should have.
